Announcement: CIDER-LERN-Workshop

The CIDER-LERN-Workshop will take place on January 25-26, 2017 at the Leibniz Association’s Headquarters in Berlin.

The workshop is organized by the College for Interdisciplinary Educational Research (CIDER) and the Leibniz Education Research Network Alliance (LERN) and will give researchers the opportunity to present and discuss their current work.

The general aim of the workshop is to extend the CIDER network to other LERN institutes in order to facilitate and enable interdisciplinary cooperation among educational researchers. To this end, different workshop formats are offered:

  1. Interdisciplinary lectures and supplements as well as round table discussions on publishing strategies and science communication.
  2. Poster sessions, where research projects and publicly available datasets relevant to education research can be presented.
  3. Thematic groups of 2.5 hours.  These are concerned with methodological or substantial issues related to interdisciplinary educational research. Whether these are organized, for example, like a symposium or a plenary debate is up to the organizers of the groups.
  4. Paper Sessions, where individual papers can be presented and discussed with the other researchers of the field.
